SimInsights invited to speak at UCI School of Education by Prof. Mark Warschauer

Professor Mark Warschauer at University of California, Irvine, School of Education invited Rajesh to speak about SimInsights’ work in this area. See below the announcement. It is great to see that VR/AR/XR technologies are generating excitement at Schools of education (and throughout academia). About 20 people attended. Audience was a mix of faculty, research staff and graduate students from not only education, but also CalIT, law school and other fields. There were also a couple of people who were working on entrepreneurial ventures leveraging Augmented Reality. Our discussion also included career and technical education at upper high school and community college levels.

Virtual Reality for Career Technical Education

Rajesh Jha, CEO of SimInsights, will speak about work under development to apply the company’s XR learning platform for use in career technical education.

About the speaker

Rajesh Jha. Raj is the founder and CEO of SimInsights Inc., a Southern California based software company focused on software for VR/AR and mobile devices. Since 2009, SimInsights has served customers in Healthcare, Manufacturing and Education. Raj has served as Principal Investigator on research grants from the US Department of Education, National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. Raj started his career at Altair Inc., in Detroit, Michigan, in 2000, where he managed the development of software platforms for computer aided engineering, modeling and simulation for companies in automotive, aerospace and other sectors to rapidly design products. Raj is interested in personalized learning and is excited about the potential of VR/AR devices for education and workforce development. He holds a BSME from IIT Varanasi, MSME from Ohio State University and an MBA from UCLA.
