Irvine, California, April 9 2024: SimInsights, a leading provider of immersive, AI-powered software for education and training, is excited to participate in the AI/XR educator focused event titled “Future-Proof Yourself and Your Students in an AI & XR World” at Orange Coast College in Orange County. The event is organized by our partners at Vital Link. Attendees will discuss the updates and changes with AR/VR & AI and how it has impacted Academic Cost Efficiencies, Industry Training and Preparation, and Industry Benefits. Other industry attendees will include Boeing, City of Redlands, Microsoft, Irvine Valley College and Cypress College.
SimInsights, an Orange County based leader in AI/XR powered education and training, has been at the forefront of these technologies since 2017. Funded by the National Science Foundation Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, the team has developed Hyperskill. a no-code AI/XR platform. In 2023, HyperSkill version 2.0 was launched in an inaugural event called Next Gen Workforce at UCI Beall Applied Innovation in Irvine. SimInsights also offers Skillful, an AI/XR immersive platform for career exploration. Skillful was built using HyperSkill and was launched at the Educating for Careers conference in Sacramento, CA in a 90 minute professional development session. SimInsights is supporting students, teachers and districts with hands-on tools, curriculum, content, professional development and training. In fact, our team recently organized a 90 minute professional development session at the Educating for Careers conference in Sacramento with the executive director of the ROP at College and Career Advantage (CCA) at Capistrano Unified School District. In addition, we have participated in student career fairs and conferences in Washington DC, Boston, Oregon, Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Jose, Fresno, Los Angeles, Pasadena City College, Pomona, Long Beach, Capistrano Unified, James Madison High School, San Diego, University of North Texas, University of Memphis, as well as enterprise such as Meta and CraneMorley, TechConnect, Association for Training Development (ATD), all with the objective of making students aware of the opportunities in the field of AI and XR. Our work in AI has also been highlighted in the Orange County Business Journal and been awarded by DARPA and AVA Digital.
At the Future Proof event, SimInsights representatives will exhibit their software products, share opportunities for teachers and students to engage with the company in a variety of ways including consulting, pre-apprenticeships, apprenticeships and internships, and specifically discuss academic cost efficiencies, industry training and preparation, and industry benefits.

Purpose: To provide K–12 instructors and community college faculty insight on the skills development and usage rate of AI/XR technology in the workforce and academia. The information and practices shared are intended to further support the implementation and usage of AI/XR technology in curriculum and classroom activities with the hopes of better–preparing students for the future of work.
Goals
- Recruit educators, researchers, and industry personnel to showcase the usage of AI/XT technology in academia and/or industry and provide a 5–year outlook of the potential increased usage and benefits.
- Recruit educators to share best practices of how AI/XR technology is being leveraged to increase student engagement and comprehension.
- Inform CTE instructors and faculty of AI/XR equipment usage rates within industry and how to use the technology in the classroom.
